The Family Album: Collection Two.

In the second week of the 'My Family Album' project, I took pictures of both my friend and my family. In the first photograph, lighting comes into play. The light highlights my friends face ad makes the picture more illuminate. Moreover, the expression and objects (like the Pepsi glass) still being in photo also show how off the cuff this picture actually is. This shows the picture has a story behind it like why were we at a meal? Was there a particular reason?

The next picture is of my sister. This picture was all about the rule of thirds. The main aspects of the photo line up to be in the perfect places to gain a good ascetically pleasing photograph. The expression shown is 100% genuine as she is asleep which makes the picture have an innocent element that sneaks through. Moreover, that fact it looks to be daylight suggests to someone looking at it with questions yet again.

The next picture is another family member at work. The fact that the picture is taken mid-flow of a work day makes the picture a perfect snapshot into time. The picture expresses the feelings on concentration radiating while the work day continues. Moreover, the coper/printer in the background only hints at the type of job that she has. From a photography perspective, the picture could become better with an element of cropping involved- mostly on the right side to take away the piece of equipment that hasn't been fully caught onto the picture.

Finally, the fourth picture is another friend. The photo has been taken mid laugh- the sense of innocence is back with this photo. The picture is a snapshot in time- something that I could look back on and only I could remember what was going on exactly in this moment. Her right eye just clips onto the best points in a rule of thirds- this makes the picture look essentially more pleasing and the white circles blurred in the background also line along one of the lines in rule of thirds which also helps the picture look 'completed' as such.
