Tipsy Tea, the only stone left unturned...
The challenge was to plan the launch of brand Tipsy Tea's new iced drinks range. To be sold at events in the summer of 2021, the aims are to generate brand awareness, mirroring the glamour of speakeasies and Prohibition New York. The marketing plan should have a target market of females aged 25-50 with a moderate level of disposable income.

The Campaign...
For this assignment, I created a marketing campaign for Tipsy Tea, a tea infused liquor which is sold in bottles and at hospitality events. The brief was to plan for the new iced drinks range introduced in summer 2021. I analysed the company, its sector and created a ‘big idea’ campaign tailored to the target audience persona detailed.

I found this experience positive and believe that my experience with previous campaigns helped me overcome any struggles faced. I found it hard to identify a number of psychographics, it was due to my previous knowledge, that I was able to access numerous databases and sites that would have the information needed. I think that the contribution from my ‘previous self’ allowed for a more successful campaign. I struggled to get my head around my lack of creativity at the beginning of the ‘Big Idea’; especially when thinking of a name and a basis. I believe that I struggled creatively because I was ‘burned out.’ I had been focusing on the research that I lost any drive I had at the beginning. Taking time out of the assignment sparked back up my creativity, and I found the Big Idea in order to move forward in the process.

Overall, I learnt the depth of research that can be done to begin a campaign can transform the instant ideas when you first here about a brand- I haven’t gone into so much detail before and it really helped me in the long run- it led me to have more success when it came to presenting tactics. This is something I will take into future campaigns because it helps pave out just which direction a campaign needs to go.
