To develop a brand extension for a well-known company; provide research analysis, current and extention market environments, competitor evaluation, and consumer target coverage.

The Solution
My role in this unit was as a leader. As someone who has always struggled confidence-wise, I wanted to take on a large role within my group to develop my skills in confidence and communication. To begin with we brainstormed the way in which we could take Durex a step further for its target market.

I focused a lot of this unit on making sure our theory, our reason why we made the decisions we did was up to the highest standard, and how we could develop our promotion for a successful brand extension. I up-skilled my marketing skills, specifically, target markets, competitive analysis and understanding of the justification behind why a company would take on a particular approach or strategy.
​
I thoroughly enjoyed taking part in this unit and allowed me to develop my marketing skills alongside those soft skills of communication and confidence. As mentioned, I received a first for this assignment.
